Privacy Policy

This page explains what outchess.lol collects and why. It is short because we collect very little. Last updated September 15, 2026.

If you buy a piece

We store the website or X handle you list, the title, description and icon we fetch from it, the amount you paid, and the email address the payment provider gives us so we can reach you about your piece. The listing itself is public by design. Your card and billing details go to Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, and never reach our servers. Dodo Payments has its own privacy policy for the payment.

If you visit

We keep a random session id in your browser's local storage so we can count how many people are online and how many visited today. It contains nothing about you and is never joined with your name or email. We also record the site that referred you, if any, and count clicks on pieces. Our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for a short time.

Cookies and analytics

We use DataFast for visitor analytics. It sets one first-party cookie, datafast_visitor_id, so we can count visitors and see which source brought a buyer to the board. If you buy a piece, that visitor id is passed to Dodo Payments with your order for the same reason. We set no other cookies. The payment page run by Dodo Payments may set its own.

Third parties

Dodo Payments (payments and receipts), DataFast (visitor analytics), Vercel (hosting and logs), Neon (database), and Google's favicon service, which we call to fetch a listing's icon. We do not run advertising pixels and we do not sell or share data with anyone else.

Retention and removal

Listing data stays as long as the piece is on the board and in the board's history afterwards. Session ids and referrer records are kept for statistics only. Email us to remove your listing or to ask what we hold about you and we will answer within two business days.
